There will be election night results on JCPost as soon as the results from the Geary County Office
Building begin to arrive Tuesday evening.
In addition you can hear election coverage on The Talk of JC, KJCK AM, beginning with reports at 7:09 p.m. and continuing three times an hour through 10:09 p.m.
We will be tracking the 65th District House of Representatives race between Democrat Tom Brungardt and Republican Lonnie Clark, and following the outcome of two sales tax questions in Dickinson County. They involve a future half-cent sales tax for roads and bridges in Dickinson County, and a future half-cent sales tax in Abilene to raise funds to build and equip future City offices, police and fire departments. The roads and bridge tax would begin in April of 2015 and extend for five years before expiring. The half-cent sales tax in Abilene would begin in April of 2018 when a current 0.35 retailer’s sales tax expires.
