The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department Drug Enforcement Unit have arrested two people, and confiscated 23.1 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, plus several rifles and shotguns.

Sheriff Gareth Hoffman reported that on Tuesday the Unit concluded an investigation into alleged methamphetamine distribution with the execution of a search warrant at 2191 Eden Road, #7, in Dickinson County. The search warrant was executed by the Kansas Highway Patrol Special Response Team. Assisting in the search of the residence was the Abilene Police Department, Saline County Sheriff’s Department, and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigations Unit.

In addition to the methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and guns that were seized, authorities also located jewelry that had allegedly been stolen in an Abilene home burglary, and tools allegedly stolen from a construction trailer on Holmes Road in Saline County in mid October.

Hoffman said Justin Lee Seaman, 37, the owner of the residence, was arrested at the time of the execution of the search warrant. He was arrested on suspicion of Burglary, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Obtain a Kansas Drug Tax Stamp, and Criminal Use of a Weapon.

Hoffman also reported that Jordan Manuel Nowak, 29, was arrested as a result of the investigation after he vehicle he was driving was stopped and found to have alleged stolen property from Marion, Dickinson, and Rice Counties in it. Nowak was arrested on suspicion of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Burglary, three counts of Possession of Stolen Property.

The case is ongoing, and more arrests are possible. Members of the community provided information in the case and that assisted law enforcement in its’ quick resolution.
