Halloween activities for trick or treating in Junction City will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.

Police Chief Tim Brown said at 8 p.m. the Witches Wail ( storm sirens ) will be activated to signal the end of trick or treating. Extra police will be out in force monitoring the City throughout the evening, many in unmarked police cars.

Parents are reminded to accompany their children during trick or treating activities, and to carefully inspect all candy received before consumption. Children should wear loose, light colored clothing, and carry flashlights with them to illuminate their paths.
