Police Searching for Leads in Weekend Slaying

Right now Junction City police do not have many leads in the shooting death of Elza I. Evans,jcpd three 27, Junction City.   He was found dead in the parking lot at 618 West 14th Street early Saturday. Evans had been shot multiple times.

Tim Brown, Police Chief confirmed authorities do not have a lot of leads. “What we do have we’re keeping it very close to our vest. ” Brown also stated they’re seeking information from the public on this case. “We know that there’s people out there that probably have information on this, and we would very much appreciate a call, or go to our TIPS line, and you can text us or send us an email on the Crime Stoppers whatever the case may be.”

Brown would not reveal the firearm authorities believe was used in the shooting. An autopsy was completed.
