Geary County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to u. S. 77 and Rucker Road just after 5:30 a.m. Monday for a two-vehicle injury accident.

The Sheriff’s Department reported that Yang Scharff, Junction City, was traveling northbound on U.s. 77 in a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer. Cody Matsumoto, Junction City, was turning northbound onto U.S. 77 from Rucker Road in a 1995 Toyota Four Runner and was struck. Both subjects reported non-life threatening injuries, and were transported to local hospitals.
