The Kansas State Wildcats picked up their 500th victory in school history Saturday in their 23-0 shut out of the Texas Longhorns.
Kansas State is now 500-621-41 in program history. When Snyder took over the program in 1989 the Wildcats had only accumulated 299 victories in 93 years. In the last 26 years, K-State has totaled 201 victories.
“When I first came here it was the only program that had accumulated, in NCAA football, 500 loses. So I equate that we caught up, we caught up with our loses somewhere along the road,” said Snyder.
The Wildcats improved to 6-1 on the season and remain atop the Big 12 Conference at 4-0. The Wildcats will host Oklahoma State next Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
