In Person Advance Voting Beginning in Geary County

Effective Thursday voters can go to the Geary County Clerk’s Office to cast an in-person advanceelection clip art ballot.

County Clerk Rebecca Bossemeyer said they began mailing out advance ballots Oct. 15. That continues as requests are received.  Voters will need to fill out an application before a ballot can be sent to them. All of the ballots must be returned by Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. In person advanced voting ends Nov. 3rd.

According to Bossemeyer in-person voting began at 1 p.m. Thursday. “They do need to be ready to bring their photo ID with them and there is also a form we’ll have for them to fill out when they arrive. ”

The election is Nov. 4. The County Clerk’s office will be open Saturday, Nov. 1st from 9 a.m. to noon.

In addition to statewide races, one race in Geary County will involve the 65th District seat in the Kansas House of Representatives.  Republican Lonnie Clark and Democrat Tom Brungardt are running for that seat.
