City Commission Approves Revolving Loan Application

The Junction City Commission has approved a revolving loan application for Legacy CDL junction city symbolTraining. The funds will be used to help Legacy begin a truck driving school in Junction City in conjunction with Cloud County Community College.

The loan is for $16,000 on a four year term, with payment of $361 per month. The Economic Development Commission had recommended approval on the loan.

Connie Detwiler appeared before the Commission seeking the loan. She said Legacy currently has one semi tractor – trailer, but they hope to add up to three more in the future. The loan will help with start-up expenses. Six to eight students can train per truck. Each class will run six weeks. Kansas Board of Regents approval is needed.
