The grand opening for the new upscale steakhouse in Junction City, Munson Prime, 426 Goldenbelt Boulevard, is set for Friday and Saturday.
Deanna Munson, owner, said on both days ice cream will be made with samples given away to the public. “And then a lot of the appetizers we use with our steak night will be available periodically for people to sample.” Some t-shirts will also be given away on Friday, and there will be live radio remote broadcasts from the restaurant.
There will be a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting at Munson Prime at noon on Saturday.
Late Saturday there will be a drawing of names for a grand prize, a steak dinner night for a couple.
The new steakhouse has conducted a soft opening in recent weeks. Munson said there has been a good response from the area. “I’m extremely pleased with the response.”
Munson encourages those who plan to have a steak dinner at the restaurant to make reservations. Munson Prime also serves farm style meals at lunch time. Those do not require reservations.
