Construction is continuing at Manhattan Regional Airport on phase one of the Terminal expansion project.
Peter Van Kuren, Airport Director updated the Airport Advisory Board
Monday and explained that the new terminal has been fully enclosed.
“Hi-Tech Interior is doing an awful lot of work right now. Hanging a lot of sheet rock, all of the framing has been done on the interior, and the ceiling is being framed as well,” said Van Kuren.
He explained that the passenger boarding bridge is in place but is not in operation at this point, and will not beĀ in operation until phase one is complete in late December.
The $15.8 million project is being funded through grants from the Federal Aviation Administration and City of Manhattan funding.
