Geary USD 475 is buying more computer devices for sixth grade students.

One hundred additional devices will be purchased to supplement 600 bought one month ago for sixth graders.

The District confirmed Title One money is being used to make the latest purchases. Local taxpayer funds are not being used. The cost is $50,000.

The school board has also given the necessary approval for the hiring of a part-time elementary school counseling coordinator. This employee will work one-quarter time over the course of a month.
