The Central States Marching Festival is coming to Bill Snyder Family Stadium at Kansas
State University on Saturday, Oct. 18.
It will include representation from more than 40 high schools and include approximately 5,000 performing band students.
Among the bands participating are those from Junction City, Wamego, and Clay Center.
Clinics for the bands will begin at 8 a.m. Each high school band will take the field and perform in front of a panel of field performance experts. Bands will then go to Bramlage Coliseum and be given immediate feedback while watching a video of their performance.
Performances at Bill Snyder Family Stadium will begin at 10:15 a.m. and end at 9:30 p.m with the Kansas State University Marching Band performing its “Beatles Invasion” show which includes several Beatles’ medleys. The Boston Brass will also make a guest appearance, performing at 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Admission into Bill Snyder Family Stadium will be $5 for both students and the general public.
