Enrollment in Geary USD 475 has increased slightly for the 2014-2015 school year.

Dr. Corbin Witt, Superintendent announced Monday morning that this years enrollment is about 8,440 students.

“That’s, in head count, an increase of about 167 students over last year. That is not the FTE of what we receive state funding on, because we only get .5 funding for kindergartners and we don’t get any state funding for our early childhood students, those numbers are included in that,” says Witt.

Witt followed that up by saying that either way it is good news that the district is serving more students, and that the district is excited to provide more academic programs to students.
