Good weather, good crowds, food vendors and BLUES music combined for a successful Jammin In JC festival in Junction City.

Coordinator Bob Cevera said Saturday night the Slide Brothers, who were the final act of the two day blues and barbecue festival, had the crowd going, and the public was up in front of the stage interacting with them. “They were in Telluride, Colorado two weeks ago, and they say they just blew that place up. And I think they’re holding their own. ”
Cevera was also lavish in his praise of Mr. Sipp ( the Mississippi Blues Child ) who performed during the early evening on Saturday, noting the entertainer actually went into the audience for part of his performance. Mr. Sipp performed traditional Blues with what he termed “a little rockish edge on it. He has a 22 year background in gospel music.
No major problems were reported with the festival.
On the overall event, Cevera said, “The best part of it is the fulfillment after it’s all over and then its successful.” On whether Jammin In JC will be back in 2015 for a fifth year, Cevera indicated it will probably be back.
