The company studying the possibility of a sports complex in Junction City, SFA, has submitted the
first draft of a pro forma report to a local committee.
At this point the final shape of any proposed sports complex is a long way from taking shape, but committee member Brian Field did discuss the sports they’re looking at. He noted the committee is looking at multiple fields…baseball and softball. “We want to get the kind of fields where there’s movable fences so we can use them for several different things. Also we’re looking at soccer fields, which is something that’s growing in this area, can help us bring in some quality tournaments.” Fields added a multi-use building is also being looked at, and another feature the committee would want to see in the project is an artificial turf surface.
He noted the company’s initial proposal could be pared down some, but the committee is interested in the information they presented. The final shape, scope, and cost of the proposed project is still a long way from being determined.
