The Junction City Blue Jay football team will try to return to winning ways Friday night when they play at Seaman.

Blue Jay coach Randall Zimmerman said the Vikings play well together with big, strong, physical kids at every position. “They’re going to compete every single snap of the game.”

Junction City lost to Shawnee Heights a week ago 41-33, after the Blue Jays struggled in the first half and fell behind 28-7. The second half was better, but they couldn’t quite close the gap. As for this week Zimmerman said his team “put a nice week of practice together. This week, a spirited week, had a workman like kind of attitude. That’s the way you’ve got to go about it every week.”

Junction City is 2-1 entering the game, while the Vikings are 1-2.
