Tom Weigand, CEO of the Junction City area Chamber of Commerce say’s it’s time to begin planning to look for his successor.
Weigand has been the CEO of the Chamber for going on three years and he
explained that he was hired as a “short timer” and it’s time to begin planning to look for his successor.
That was part of the discussion during a strategic planning chamber retreat Wednesday.
“I think going forward they have to be thinking about my job description, getting that out and when that happens, going forward. We are going to work through that,” says Weigand.
Weigand said that he does not have a date in mind at this time for when he will be retiring, but indicated it could be sometime in 2015.
“This has been a great experience, but it’s time I think in the near future, to look for my successor and see how they can add to what has begun here.”
Weigand was hired as the first President and CEO of the Consolidated Chamber of Commerce.
