ATA Bus offcials are scheduled to meet with a University of Kansas group Monday to discuss
potential fixed public bus transportation routes in Junction City.
The information was reported during a joint Junction City – Geary County Commission meeting.
There has been a strong positive response to the availability of ATA Bus in Junction City. County Commissioner Florence Whitebread has reported that more than 40 percent of the riders are using the buses to travel to and from work, and more than 20 percent for education trips to school.
ATA Bus is headquartered in Manhattan but also serves Junction City.
