K-State Hosts UTEP in Final Non-Conference Matchup

Kansas State will welcome the UTEP Miners to Bill Snyder Family Stadium for the team’s final non-wildcatconference game of 2014.

The game kicks off at 11 a.m. Saturday.

K-State brings the 23rd ranked rushing defense into the game after limiting Auburn to just 2.8 yards per carry in a 20-14 loss last Thursday. The Wildcats also check in at No. 27 in total defense, yielding 324 total yards per game.

UTEP is coming off a bye week following a 49-24 win over New Mexico State on September 13.

The Miners boast one of the nation’s best rushing attacks, averaging 314 yards per game. Running back Aaron Jones ranks second nationally in rushing, averaging 183 yards per game and has added seven rushing touchdowns.
