Junction City Receives Funding Through KLINK Program

The City of Junction City has been awarded $200,000 from the Kansas Departmentjunction city symbol
of Transportation for future improvements on South Washington Street.

KDOT said the city will receive the funding through the KLINK program in 2016. Municipal Services Director Greg McCaffrey said the improvements will cover a stretch of South Washington from the roundabout on the south end north to Chestnut Street. “And we’ll be looking at 2016 milling and resurfacing that segment of roadway.”

McCaffrey added it will be an inch-and-a-half milling operation, and the city will then resurface it will new asphalt.
