Waters True Value in Junction City has expanded. There is a 10,000 square foot addition with

features ranging from a greenhouse to pet supplies and an expanded rental business.
Jim Waters stated Friday that you have to change, and keep up with the times. You need to give people a reason to shop with you. “I think it’s very important that we relate to younger people. Some of the things that we are doing to make us a little more enjoyable for younger people, especially people with families, we’ve put in little shopping carts for the kids, and the kids just love them.”
Other improvements include baby changing stations in the bathrooms, and they have tried to make the aisles very open in the new store.
Jim Waters he is generation five for the Waters family in the business, which dates its history in Junction City back to 1905. “That is a long, long time.”
Waters True Value also has stores in six other Kansas communities, Dodge City, Great Bend, Manhattan, Wamego, Salina, and Emporia.
