Geary County sheriff’s deputies worked a two-vehicle accident mile marker 305 westbound on I-70.

According to the Sheriff’s Department Alicia Richardson of Salina was operating a 2000 Ford Focus, when her vehicle was struck from behind by a 1998 Izuzu Hombre operated by Robert Smith of Junction City. Both Richardson and Smith were transported to Geary Community Hospital for evaluation of injuries.

The accident was reported at 8:22 p.m. Thursday.
