The Junction City Blue Jay and Lady Jay cross country teams competed in the Manhattan
Invitational Saturday at Warner Park.
Leading for the Blue Jay boys was Stephen DeVeau, with a seventh place finish in the varsity boys race in 17:01.
For the Lady Jays Brianna Pace finished 11th in the varsity girls race in 16:47. Also for Junction City, Myrissa Humphreys was 14th in 16:59, and Briona Jensen 15th in 17:01.
In the varsity team competition Manhattan won the boys title with the overall low score of 46 points. Junction City finished fifth with a score of 105.
In the girls varsity race Manhattan captured first with a score of 22 points. Junction City did not have a full team. The Lady Jays only had the three finishers.
