Christina Strauss, Office Professional at the Geary County Research and Extensions Office, has been named the Local Unit Office Professional of the Year in Kansas. 

Strauss has been working at the Geary County Research and Extensions Office since February of 1992. She was nominated for the award by Extension Agents Ginger Kopfer, Chuck Otte, and Deb Andres.

She explained that in her 22 years with the office she has seen a lot of things come through those doors.

“From numerous varieties of snakes, to plants, spiders. I’ve seen a lot of 4-hr’s grow up, from their first year to their last year,” says Strauss.

She said that she was honored just to be nominated, and said that everyone that works in the office is, “we’re just really, one big family.”
