Geary Community Hospital and it’s wellness program, Community Resources Empowering Wellness, is launching it’s community wide 10-week weight loss challenge called “Battle On.”
The 10-week weight loss challenge is a healthy living initiative of GCH and 
C.R.E.W. to promote positive lifestyle choices and a healthier well-being in Junction City and Geary County.
The initial weigh in will be held September 9th, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. during the 2014 Geary County Health and Wellness Fair at the Junction City Municipal Building.
Participants will receive healthy recipes, motivation tips, guidance for healthy dieting and other topics. Free fitness classes will also be offered to “Battle On” participants each week during the challenge.
Cash prizes will given to the top three winners, $250 for first place, $200 for second and $100 for third at the end of the challenge. Other prizes such as a Fitbit and exercise mats will be awarded throughout the 10-week challenge and. “Battle ON!” winners will be based on the percentage of weight lost, not pounds.
