The Third Annual Ride to Remember Our Fallen hosted by the American Legion Riders Chapter 235 out of Greenleaf will be coming to Junction City September 6th. The ride is to remember all of the lost military and first responders since the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Eszter Blair, American Legion Commander of the 4th District explained that when they are expecting over 100 riders to participate this year.

“We’re hoping for more,” says Blair. “The first year we did it we had over 300 motorcycles and we’re building back up to it again.”

The ride will start at City Cycle Sales in Junction City with registration from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with kick stands up at 11:15 p.m.. The ride will be 86 miles long, at 45 mph with full flags and will start at City Cycle Sales. It will then head to the Herington American Legion where they will serve lunch. Then it will head to the Eisenhower Memorial in Abilene were a wreath laying ceremony will be held at the Eisenhower statue at the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum, and then on to the Chapman American Legion. The ride will then conclude in the parking lot at 4th and Franklin in Junction City.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Warrior Transition Battalion at Fort Riley in support of the annual turkey run and toy distribution sponsored by the American Legion.
