When the Corps of Engineers personnel reported to work Monday morning they spotted a boat up
against the Milford Lake Dam, on the rocks.
The Project Operations Manager for the Corps of Engineers at Milford Lake R. J. Harms stated there were some coolers, boxes, and different things at the site about midway across the dam. “Investigating that, and went out there and took a look at it. I think a couple of fishermen were maybe bow fishing overnight when that storm came through here. And probably the wind might have pushed them right up against the dam, started bringing some water into their boat so they basically abandoned their boat there. ” Harms expected the boat to be picked up later in the day on Monday.
A thunderstorm swept through the area with gusty winds and rain late Sunday night.
