Eric Boland coordinates the annual Mudd Bogg event that is held in Junction City. It raises money for Sundown Salute, the Fourth of July celebration in Junction City.

Now Boland wants to take it from a one-day to two-day event at a Grant Avenue location. It will begin at 7 p.m. on a Friday in May, and continue at 1 p.m. the next day.

“This is going to be a challenge state by state.” Kansas drivers will challenge drivers from other states including Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Colorado.

The event is expected to produce more revenue for Sundown Salute.
