The Cannonball Motorcycle Endurance run is coming through Junction City in September.
Honey Grant of City Cycle Sales says it’s an endurance run involving
antique motorcycles. She said that they will be stopping at City Cycle Sales on Goldenbelt Boulevard September 11th.
“They’ll come in on Hwy 57, and come right down to the park area and come straight on to City Cycle Sales on September 11. We’ll have them on display from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and at that time we offered to host them and a dinner. That way we will have some motorcycles on display for the public,” said Grant.
Junction City will be an overnight stop on the ride which goes from Florida to Washington State in 17 days in September. They will also remain in Junction City on September 12th before departing on the 13th.
There will be 108 antique motorcycles on the ride. The total traveling party is expected to consist of about 275 people. The number of hotel rooms needed for the two night stay has been calculated at 125.
