Junction City Police Reporting Early Morning Shooting

The Junction City Police Department is investigating an early Saturday morning shooting in Junction City that sent one man to the hospital.

Officers responded to a shots fire call at approximately 2:38 a.m. in the jcpd threearea of 52 Riley Manor Circle. While en route to that area officers were advised a subject had been taken to the Emergency Room at Geary Community Hospital suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was identified as Issac Johnson, 25. He was later transported to Stormont Vail Hospital in stable condition. Officers learned that Johnson had been shot by an unknown black male while walking in the area of 51 Riley Manor Circle.
