An accident occurred Tuesday at 8:54 a.m. on I-70 in Riley County, when Halston Peutt, of Topeka, suddenly swerved off the road in his 2002 Ford E350 according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Peutt struck Myron Sessions, of Alma, in a New Holland farm tractor while Sessions was mowing near the shoulder of the Interstate at mile marker 317.

Sessions was taken to Mercy Regional Hospital for possible injuries. The cause for Peutt’s leaving the roadway is unknown at this time.

Both Peutt and Session were wearing their safety restraints at the time of the accident.
