Milling and overlay work on different street segments in Junction City has been proposed by staff for the 2015 City budget.
Greg McCaffrey, Municipal Services Director, confirmed no microsurfacing work is included in his plan for 2015. He did tell the City Commission in a budget work session Monday evening the milling work will be a lot of crack sealing of streets. “It will be predominantly on the west side of the City. Many of those streets that are now reaching five to six years in age, and they are in need of preventative maintenance, which is basically joint crack sealing.”
The Commission receives input during the budget work sessions, but has not yet made any final decisions on the 2015 City spending plan.
