Proposed water and sewer rate increases are on the Junction City Commission meeting agenda
Tuesday night.
The governing body meets at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Building.
Cheryl Beatty, Interim City Manager, said a 7.5% rate increase is proposed in the water fees and a 5.5% increase in the wastewater fees. “And those are to start making the funds available for all the long term high dollar capital needs that we need water, wastewater plants, as well as the maintenance of the system.”
If approved by the Commission the rate increases would go into effect in mid-July.
