Weekend Weather Outlook

The National Weather Service of Topeka has issued a hazardous weather outlook for East Central, North Central and Northeast Kansas. nws

Counties included in the outlook include Riley, Pottawatomie, Cloud, Clay, Dickinson, Geary, Morris, Wabaunsee, Republic, Washington, Marshall, Nemaha, Brown, Jackson, Jefferson, Ottawa, Shawnee, Douglas, Lyon, Osage, Franklin, Coffey and Anderson.

There is a slight chance for thunderstorms late tonight in North Central Kansas.

There is also a chance for thunderstorms in North Central Kansas during the morning and afternoon hours of Saturday. Thunderstorm chances increase from West to East from early evening through Saturday night, with some of these storms possibly being severe.

The greater chances for sever thunderstorms will be West of a line from Abilene to Marysville. Very large hail and damaging winds will be the primary severe weather hazards.

Thunderstorm chances remain in mainly Northeast and East Central Kansas Sunday and Sunday night. Some of these storms may also be severe. Storms are expected next week through Thursday, June 19.
