The Monday report from the Geary County Sheriff’s Department contains the arrest of a suspect, identified as Michael Hall, 31, Junction City, on a Geary County District Court warrant alleging two counts of Attempted Murder of Law Enforcement Officer’s.
Hall was arrested at the Detention Center on Saturday. His bond was set at $250,000 Cash-Surety.
Sheriff Tony Wolf reported Hall had been returned to Geary County from Wisconsin where he had been housed. He confirmed once authorities were finished with Hall’s charges in that state, there was a warrant in Geary County and Hall was transported back to Geary County.
In the Geary County case Wolf said that on Aug. 10, 2013 there was a car chase, and then a foot chase. Wolf noted Hall was accused of shooting at both a Geary County Sheriff’s deputy and a Junction City police officer, with Hall suffering a non-life threatening wound during a struggle over a gun. The officers were not injured.
Bond for Hall has been set at $250,000. He was expected to have a first appearance in Geary County District Court on Monday.
