Junction City Police Chief Tim Brown has received the 2014 Fraternal Order of Police Administrator Award.

Brown received the award during the organization’s 40th annual State Conference in Topeka.
Brown was recommended for the honor by the members of the Fraternal Order Police Lodge No. 43 in Junction City. He called it humbling and a great honor to receive the award.
Brown talked about the recommendation with JCPost.com. “Basically they spoke of a willingness to maintain a harmonious and good relationship between management and labor.” He also added, “I think it’s been very important that how closely we’ve been able to work together over the years for the good of the Department, and especially for the good of the citizens of Junction City.”
The police chief noted he thinks the honor reflects the good relationship between management and the rank and file of the Police Department. “So it was a great honor for me.”
