Two K-State Outfielders Selected in MLB Draft

Two Kansas State outfielders, senor Ross Kivett and redshirt junior Mitch Meyer have been wildcatselected in the 2014 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.

K-Statesports.com reported that Kivett was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the sixth round and Meyer was a seventh round selection of the Milwaukee Brewers.

A native of Broadview Heights, Ohio, Kivett batted .326 with 42 doubles, 11 triples, 7 home runs, 119 RBI, and 80 stolen bases in his K-State career.

Meyer, a native of Stilwell, Kansas, batted .277 with 30 extra-base hits and a .446 slugging percentage in 121 career games at Kansas State.
