The thunderstorm that rolled through Junction City Thursday morning.
Geary County Sheriff Tony Wolf said in the rural area there were only two blockages on major roadways. “That was 77 highway. We had a tree that blew out ontp the roadway up around the City of Milford.” Deputies pulled the tree off the highway to allow traffic to move.
“We then we had another one south of town around the State Lake. They had a tree blow out over the roadway down there. We found it and KDOT was right there, and got that removed.”
Wolf said in Junction City there was a lot of tree debris. “A lot of leaves, lot of branches blown out into the roads. I know they’ve had some damage to street lights and things. They had some that were flashing different colors and different ways. ”
No injuries were reported.
