Several events on Fort Riley over the next week have the potential for increased noise.
The Garrison Public Affairs Office noted the events are related both to the observance of D-Day anniversary and the annual Victory Week celebration.
Events cited that could produce noise discernible to Fort Riley’s neighbors include:
–June 6, 6:30-7 a.m. – An observance honoring the 70th anniversary of D-Day will include cannon fire in tribute of the Fallen Warriors lost at Normandy
–June 7, 7-10:30 p.m. – Victory Celebration with bands 7-10, Fireworks 10 p.m.
–June 8, 10-11 a.m. – Kansas Army National Guard 635th Regional Support Group change of command ceremony
–June 9, 8 p.m. – midnight – Concert by Brett Eldredge
–June 11, 10:30 a.m. 1 p.m. – Combined Arms Live Fire Exercise
