B & B Theatres has notified the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce they will be taking over operation of the Westside 4 Cinema in Junction City on July 1.

The company is planning extensive upgrades to the facility at 1016 W. 6th St.  this fall. They will range from new seats and concessions to exterior and interior improvements. Susan Jagerson, Economic Development Specialist for the Chamber told JCPost.com, “When it’s done they say it’s going to look like a brand new theatre and feel like a brand new theatre.”

Because of the extensive upgrades the facility will be closed for about a month this September. The big re-opening will occur in October.
