The Junction City Lady Jays fell to Washburn Rural ( 20-2 )  10-0 in the first round of the Class 6A Regional Tournament on Wednesday at Washburn Rural. The game went six innings.

Washburn Rural went on to defeat Lawrence Free State in the tournament championship game 9-2, and clinch a berth in the Class 6A State Tournament.

The Lady Jays ended their softball season with a final record of 5-17.
