The C. L. Hoover Opera House will debut a new Cultural Film Series — a group of theater and dance performances filmed at world-famous venues and presented in high-definition on the Opera House movie screen. Tickets for each film will be $7 for adults and $5 for military, seniors, and students. Film buffs may purchase a pass to all the films in the series and get admission to one for free.

The first film will be “Moulin Rouge – The Ballet performed by Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet. This show is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Saturday 24th.
The Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s presentation of the classic high-kicking French tale has been seen by more than 110,000 people across North America.
Other films in the series will include the ballet” Swan Lake” August 17, a Charles Dickens classic “Great Expectations” August 24, “A Dancer’s Dream,” which is a performance by the New York City Ballet and New York Philharmonic, and “Ceasar and Cleopatra,” which was filmed in the fall of 2008 on the prestigous Stratford Festival Stage.
