Numerous awards for freshman, sophomore, and juniors were presented at Junction City High School this week.

They ranged from the prestigous Robert K. Weary Memorial Harvard -Radcliffe Club Prize Book Award, which was presented to Anthony DelTufo. He also received the ugh O’Brien Youth Foundation Leadership Award.

Boys State recognition went to Joshua Bryan, Neil Glaser, Benedict Reynolds, Daniel Rivera, Garret Seech, and Nicholas Swindell. Girls State designees included Ebony Garrett and Nichole Nieves.

The Tom Kite Award for Outstanding Newcomer to Journalism went to Madeline Forrester, the John Jeffries Award for Outstanding Newspaper Staff Member to Jacob Gordon, and American Mathematics Examination recognition to Katharine Kellogg.

In the Business and Information Technology Academy the Tomorrow’s Leaders Award included:

–Innovative Leadership Award, Joshua Bryan

–Breakthrough Award, Makayla Brooks

–Company Collaboration Award Dominique Simmons

For the Science, Engineering, and Technology Academy the Character Builder Awards were presented to Antonio Carter, Kelly Ann DelaCruz, Nathaniel Hancock, Kenneth Hardy, Kristi Nguyen, Daniel Rivera, Rachel Stoutamire, and Kaylee Stutz.

For the Fine Arts and Human Services Choice Awards the Trailblazer Award was presented to Jenna Knight, and the Icon Award to Laura Gunderson.
