The late Lorraine ( Williams ) Walker was remembered during the Junction City High School Senior Awards Night Assembly.

The longtime Washington Elementary School principal died April 25 at the age of 59.
Each year her family presents a graduating JCHS senior a scholarship….the Williams Children College Scholarship.
Lorraine’s sister Sabrina ( Williams ) Ware told the audience even with a heavy heart she was happy and still smiling. “We’re proud because this is Junction City, and this is our district, and this is my home. In Lorraine’s words she would tell you to remember to pay it forward. She would tell you to do your best and she would tell you to give with your heart always.”
The recipient of the $1,000 scholarship this year was Victoria Martinez.
Lorraine Walker had served as principal at Washington Elementary since 2988.
