Commencement is just a beginning.

That was a theme for Junction City High School principal Melissa Sharp during comments to members of the Class of 2014 at the Senior Awards Night assembly. “We have tried to prepare you for your dreams. We have tried to prepare you for what’s next. You should look at Sunday as a springboard into the rest of your lives.”

Sharp also told the Seniors, “Don’t take any day for granted, value every day, value every person, don’t let a moment slip you by.”

Commencement is scheduled at 6 p.m. Sunday at Al Simpler Stadium.

Thursday ( May 16 ) is the final day of classes for the Seniors at Junction City High School.
