The Kansas Department of Transportation has approved a bid for a bridge replacement project in Geary County five miles south and 12 miles east of Junction City.  

The bid will go to J & J Contractors Inc. of Iola, Kansas. Total cost of the project ( bid ) has been calculated at $399,807.22.    KDOT will pay 80 percent and Geary County 20 percent of the cost.
