The Wakefield Bomber boys track team and the girls squad fourth in their brackets of competition at the Tescott Invitational.
Ell-Saline took home the boys team title with 111 points. Natoma was second with 86, and Wakefield third with 68. In the girls competition Ell-Saline had 89 points, followed by Pike Valley with 87, Natoma 59.5, and Wakefield 52 points. There were 14 schools represented at the meet.
For the Wakefield boys in the individual competition Ethan Hammond won the Pole Vault with a vault of 11’6,” Zack Melius finished first in the 200 meter dash in 23.19, and the 4 x 400 meter relay team of Blake Otto, Zack Melius, John Yenni, and Brandon Taylor finished first in 3:34.35. The group of Otto, Yenni, Brock Barrett, and Taylor also won the 4 x 800 meter relay in 8:20.59.
For Wakefield in the girls competition Chy Riggs captured first place in the shotput with a throw of 35’11,” while Sara Casaus finished second in the 100 meter dash in 13.24, and third in the 200 meter dash in 27.79.
