Severe thunderstorm activity moved through the Dickinson – Clay – Riley County region early Wednesday evening.

Warnings were in effect for portions of those counties, plus northwest Geary County.

In Wakefield nickel size hail was reported for just a few minutes along with heavy rain and gusty winds. The National Weather Service reported 88-hundredths of an inch diameter hail three miles west of Leonardville, and six miles east-southeast of Abilene in Dickinson County two windows on the south side of a house were broken. Some tree limbs two inches in diameter were also broken.

No injuries were reported.
