Mark Anderson has been hired to serve as the Geary County Jail Administrator.
Sheriff Tony Wolf stated that Anderson comes to Geary County from the state of Maine after first working in Springfield, Mo. beginning in 1988. Anderson moved to Maine in 2005. “At that time he was in charge of building the jail in all aspects of it, construction. He did a lot of work with planning and implementation of the video systems, the locking systems, computer access controls.
Wolf reported that in Maine Anderson was recruited by the Two Bridges Jail Board to assist with design, opening and operation of the multi-jurisdictional facility holding 180 inmates in direct supervision.
Anderson will begin work in Geary County on June 1.
