Saturdays Annual Pet Fair hosted by Friends of Animals raised over $22,500 with more donations expected.

Sally Mayes, Pet Fair Spokeswoman said Monday morning that she was still expecting a few more donations but the total raised from just this weekend was approximately $22,500.

She continued that this year is turning into one of their best years. The money is used to help abused and neglected animals.

Last year the event raised $21,000. Mayes estimated about 500 people attended the Pet Fair that was held at the Geary County 4-H Fairgrounds Saturday.
